Samuel Diamond loved dressing up as a kid. For his twelfth birthday, he wanted a blazer, but fate took him elsewhere first. He studied communications, then financial markets and law before a trip to Milan re-ignited his love for well-tailored suits.
Through his influence as Instagram’s Dapper Melbourne Man
he collaborated with UK brand Paul Smith and GQ Australia before a former high school acquaintance – who had started a made-to-measure label – approached him to form a partnership. While they never went into business together, Samuel was inspired to pursue a career as a tailor, launching his custom suit enterprise Samuel Diamond Tailors, located at the business end of Melbourne’s famous Collins Street.
